When transmitters are close together or multiple transmitters are used at the same location, new frequencies can form, called "intermodulation." Because these frequencies must be strongly suppressed, a cavity filter should be placed after each output of the transmitter or output stage. If the frequencies of the FM stations are closer together than 2 MHz then a triple cavity filter is required. The cavity filter must be calculated for the power of the transmitter or output stage. This Delta Meccanica Tripple cavity FM filter with N-output connector prevents intermodulation for transmitters with power up to 600 watts.
