An FM transmitter (Frequency Modulation) is a device that transmits electromagnetic waves over FM frequencies. This is used to transmit radio stations over the air. The transmitter modulates the frequency of the transmitted waves, carrying information, such as music, voices and other sounds, on the waves. The receiver, such as a radio or car radio, receives these waves and demodulates the information, reproducing the sounds.
