Based on the popular OPTIMOD 5750 processor, the 5750 HD offers FM/HD1 processing. In addition, this HD version has a second independent processing chain called HD2 for DAB+, HD Radio and streaming. Furthermore, the 5750HD has a high-resolution touchscreen and the unit can be controlled remotely via an HTML5 web browser.
The OPTIMOD 5750 HD is equipped with analogue, AES3, composite and digital MPX and AES67/SMPTE-ST2110 inputs and outputs, includes advanced audio routing and Diversity Delay, and can be easily integrated into any studio and transmitter environment. Moreover, the optional μMPX enables cost-effective transmission of digital MPX signals over IP.
The FM section offers four processing structures that can be selected depending on the user's application and requirements: five-band, low-latency five-band, ultra-low-latency five-band and two-band.
An intelligent two-band window-gated AGC with Orban's proprietary ‘master/bass’ band coupling subtly and unobtrusively controls the levels. Whereby three types of stereo gain, an advanced EQ section, Enhancers and extensive types of other parameters are available to create your own sound.
The ‘True Peak’ limiter in the two HD processing chains anticipates and controls peak levels after D/A conversion, a feature now required by many broadcasters. The disabling ITU BS.412 Multiplex Power Controller limits MPX power smoothly and reliably to comply with regulations in countries that regulate it.
