A good subwoofer is so much more than just delivering "more bass. The 7040A works fine with the 8010 or 8020 nearfield monitors. The 7040A delivers high SPL performance that is accurate, clear and distortion-free up to 30 Hz. This results in a full-range system that sounds more simply "good. The built-in bass management technology filters out LF information from the main channels, increasing headroom and reducing distortion from the main monitors. These can then direct their "energy" to the rest of the frequency spectrum. And if that's not enough, you can use the room compensation controls to optimize the 7040A for your room environment.
