When transmitters are close together or multiple transmitters are used in the same location, new frequencies can be formed, called "intermodulation." Because these frequencies must be strongly suppressed, a cavity filter should be placed after each output of the transmitter or output stage. A double cavity filter is suitable for a maximum frequency separation of 2 MHz; otherwise, a triple cavity filter is required. The cavity filter must be calculated for the power of the transmitter or output stage. With this Delta Meccanica 600 Watt Band Pass FM Filter double cavity with N-output connector, intermodulation is prevented for transmitters with power up to 600 watts.
