When transmitters are close together or multiple transmitters are used in the same location, new frequencies can be formed, called “intermodulation.” Because these frequencies must be strongly suppressed, a cavity filter must be placed after each output of the transmitter or output stage. A double cavity filter is suitable for a maximum frequency spacing of 2 MHz; otherwise, a triple cavity filter is required. The cavity filter must be rated for the power of the transmitter or output stage. This Delta Meccanica 300 Watt Band Pass FM Filter triple cavity with N- output connector prevents intermodulation at transmitters with power up to 300 watts.
