DEVA Broadcast DB8008 – Silence Detector & Backup Audio Player

This DEVA Broadcast DB8008 is a smart and very practical solution for “dead air” moments. The device detects signal loss and immediately switches the output to one of two alternative built-in backup players – MP3 or IP Audio. As an added benefit, this device can be easily integrated into the existing setup of a radio station or larger radio networks. the DB8008 has DTMF remote control functions; a 3-digit DTMF tone combination can change the audio source input or start a playlist from the built-in MP3 audio player. Email notifications can also be sent in case of a change in the input signal source. The emails are generated to a predefined recipient and include a short text message describing the source change: Main, AUX or Backup.
